Curatorial Assistant
This was the exhibit where I was most involved, as John Toki's show was scheduled the furthest out and he was in the early stages of his curatorial process. I had many meetings with John and the art center director to establish a curatorial lens and meet with prospective artists. Working with John gave me the opportunity to accompany him and the art center director on several studio visits, both virtual and in-person.
This exhibit was guest-curated by John Toki while I was the Exhibitions Fellow at the Palo Alto Art Center in the summer of 2025. This exhibit took a new perspective on ceramics and focused on the different ways clay is used outside of a kiln.
