My responsibilities for this exhibit were assisting Rina in finding artists to fit her curatorial lens. Three of the artists I proposed (Christopher Fortin, Liza Riddle, and Marsha Godoy-Schindler) were included in the final show. I had several one-on-one meetings with Dr. Faletti via Zoom to work on tightening focus and pitching artists. I helped with backend administrative tasks, such as creating and maintaining spreadsheets with potential artists and their information. I also had the privilege of accompanying Rina and the art center director on studio visits in San Jose, CA.
This exhibit was guest-curated by Rina Faletti, Ph.D., for the Palo Alto Art Center while I was the Exhibitions Fellow in the summer of 2026. This exhibit considers work by artists surrounding environmentalism and sustainability in the present day.
